The opening of the borders of the common market in 1962 brutally cut the market shares of Belgian table grapes.The oil crisis of the seventies dealt the sector the final blow because of the high cost of heating greenhouses. From 35,000 greenhouses, the number has fallen to less than 300 today. Production year 2010
